i’m not dying anymore
i came off of birth control and i feel closer to my insides
war is over if you want it
an ode to Yoko in September
Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanukkah!
Let’s go! Kwanza!
Greetings and Thanks!
Peace on earth, man.
i’m not clenching anymore
i’m not constricting
i’m not taking half breaths
i fit here in full
what’s love without a little codependence?
what’s love without “please tell me neither of us have to power to end this”
because you make me weak the same way you make me strong.
with you, i know i belong.
you sing my praises
and they sound like truth.
you met me once and called me Blue.
you referenced my poetry. you bought the book.
read the pages i said so and not the ones i said no.
i told you the rest.
you’re smart.
i like you.
my GOD, i love you.
you make me believe in God!
good god, i say we’re blessed and you say “yes!”
at the top of the ladder a magnifying glass.
we already flunked out. we failed a few tests. be we always
always always pass
when i center myself
i bump into you
again
and again
and again
a looking glass
i’m cool where im at
i hope you are too
hang on. we all die a few times while we’re alive. let change occur.
you’ll survive.
i’m so happy you’re here
